“Dear preacher,” the simple note began. “I know God wants us to make peace with everyone, but He never met my sister.”
Thankfulness and forgiveness go hand in hand. It’s better to take the high road and forgive rather than hate.
“I can tell you’re struggling,” she said. “Try looking into my eyes and just relax. Don’t look at anything else but me, and we’ll talk this out.”
Wow. It’s a line from Buffalo Springfield’s hit song from years ago. But if you didn’t know better, you might think that line referenced our current political environment.
Our family is publicly sharing the personal story behind that difficult day last April because we want everyone to know how God worked through a long string of miracle workers every step of the way to rescue my mother.
My younger self loved to win an argument. Back then, it sure felt good for my pride.
