Dear Customers and Friends,

There were many times when they knew the odds of surviving were solidly against them. They died surrounded and under siege in frozen foxholes and flooded trenches. They flew and sailed into situations knowing full well they may not see home again. So many times, they fell rescuing their own.

They often faced insurmountable challenges with a coffin and a folded flag as their only guarantee. They ran to the danger. They jumped into the fight. They flew into walls of lead and fire. They sailed into the jaws of death. They suffered on islands. They fell in deserts. They made the ultimate sacrifice on historic battlefields at home and in lands far away. And too many continue to fall even after making it home.

We honor our fallen military men and women this weekend with a day dedicated to remembering their sacrifice. Without their sacrifice, we would have no freedom. But we also know the most precious and ultimate price in the history of the world was paid on a brutal Roman cross over 2,000 years ago.

God wrapped Himself in human flesh and came into a sin-ravaged world to save us from an eternity without Him. Did Jesus experience fear? We know He asked God to remove Him from that brutal death if possible. But Jesus knew the plan and embodied the heart of the Father. He ran to the danger. He jumped into the fight. He obediently finished the work. God’s unending love for us was shown through the sacrifice of His one and only Son.

As we remember our fallen military heroes this Memorial Day, let’s honor and celebrate them with gratitude. But may we forever remember that Jesus overcame sin and death…and yes, fear… for us.

“THE LORD IS MY LIGHT AND MY SALVATION; WHOM SHALL I FEAR? THE LORD IS THE STRENGTH OF MY LIFE; OF WHOM SHALL I BE AFRAID?”

Let us be eternally grateful for the love of Jesus.

Blessed to be a Blessing,
