Supporting Our Gainesville Bases Lanier Canoe & Kayak Club on the National Stage
At Syfan Logistics, we believe in going the extra mile, not just for our customers, but also for our community. That commitment was on full display last week as we had the honor of transporting 64 kayaks and canoes for Gainesville’s kayak/canoe teams to compete at the U.S. ACA Nationals in Green Lake, Seattle, held August 12-15.
Hauling More Than Boats
These athletes train tirelessly year-round for the opportunity to showcase their talent on the national stage. Getting them and their equipment there was no small task. Our team carefully coordinated the shipment of 64 boats, ensuring every piece of gear arrived safely and on time so the paddlers could focus on what mattered most, competing.
Kim Martin, the team’s coordinator, expressed her gratitude: “We couldn’t have gotten all those boats out there without your help. This was the biggest gift.”
Strong Performances, Stronger Community Pride
The Gainesville athletes delivered an incredible performance at Nationals, placing 2nd overall. Their team earned an average of 26 points per athlete, surpassing the 19 points per athlete from the first-place team, a remarkable achievement that reflects the heart, strength, and dedication of our hometown paddlers.
Behind every medal and finish line are countless hours of practice, sacrifice, and support. These young athletes juggle school, training, and competition to reach this level. Watching them represent Gainesville on such a large stage is a source of pride not only for their families but for our entire community.

For us at Syfan, this project was more than just a shipment. It was an opportunity to showcase the importance of teamwork, something we share with the sport. Just as paddlers must pull together in sync to move forward, our team members worked hand-in-hand to plan logistics, ensure safe handling, and deliver with precision. That shared spirit of teamwork makes accomplishments like this possible.
