"Syfan Says" Summer/Fall 2019

INC. MAGAZINE NAMES SYFAN ONE OF TOP WORKPLACES IN THE COUNTRY Syfan was one of only 12 Georgia companies to be chosen by Inc. magazine as one of the Top 300 Best Workplaces in the United States. The magazine’s Best Workplaces for 2019 list recognizes private, independent U.S. companies that have created exceptional workplaces through vibrant cultures, deep employee engagement and stellar benefits. “We are very excited to be part of this select group of companies,” said Jim Syfan, Syfan Logistics CEO. “This kind of accomplishment was made possible by the hard work and dedication of our team and by our customers’ support and loyalty.” Employees of each nominated company were given a survey on topics that included trust, management effectiveness, perks and confidence in the future. Inc. gathered, analyzed and audited the data. All companies had to have a minimum of 10 employees and be U.S.- based, privately held and independent — not subsidiaries or divisions of other companies. The company brought in food trucks for lunch to celebrate its recognition by Inc. magazine. DRIVER SPOTLIGHT : PAUL STATHAM Paul has been driving for Syfan since 2018 and lives full time in Auburn, Ga. He said he loves working for Syfan because he doesn’t like sitting behind a desk and the company has great benefits.  Paul is the father of two daughters and a stepson. He has nine grandchildren. As a truck driver, he says the craziest thing he’s seen on the road is people watching TV while driving.
