SUMMER / FA L L | 2019 SYFAN LOGISTICS COMPLETES $3.5 MILLION EXPANSION Syfan Logistics recently completed its 19,000-square foot expansion at its corporate offices, nearly doubling the size of its previous office space. The $3.5 million project, completed last spring, allows the company to bring all departments under one roof. The accounting, human resources and training departments are now housed in the same building as sales and logistics. Syfan is celebrating its 8th anniversary at its Candler Road location. “We always want to grow when the opportunity is right,” said Greg Syfan, Syfan Logistics President. “We want our team members to thrive within the company and our company’s growth will give them a chance to grow.” The expansion also gives the company space for growth in the next several years. Syfan has approximately 350 employees. CEO Jim Syfan said he’d like to reach 500 employees in the next two years. “We are better positioned for growth,” Jim Syfan said. “We have the space now to add team members as the company grows.” With the expansion, Syfan added adjustable desks for employees, allowing them to stand or sit as they work. The project also included an expanded fitness facility for team members, a special dining area with elaborate vending machines, large- screen TVs, and additional break rooms. Syfan has added an outside elevator to especially target disabled veterans as team members. Syfan’s sister company, Turbo Sales & Leasing, completed a 2,500- foot expansion next door. In addition to expanding, TSL reorganized its space for better efficiency. It brought its Sales, Fleet Management, Maintenance and Operations all into one large room. This reorganization has already led to better communications between departments and faster response time for customers’ needs. A new exercise room was added for health and fitness.
